The Freikarte as a WebApp

With our web app, you can install the Freikarte website directly on your smartphone, tablet, or computer. Once installed, it will appear on your device just like a regular app and can be conveniently launched from your home screen or desktop.

There is no need to install anything through an app store. Simply follow the instructions for your device and browser.

What should I do if no installation option is displayed?
Check that you are using a supported browser and that you have accessed the application through a secure HTTPS connection.

Step 1: Open meinefreikarte.de in the Google Chrome browser.
Step 2: Tap “Install now” at the top of the page or tap the three-dot menu (⋮) in the top-right corner.
Step 3: Select “Install app” or “Add to Home screen”.
Step 4: Confirm the installation by tapping “Install” or “Add”.
Step 5: The app icon will appear on your home screen or in your app drawer.

That’s it! You can now launch the application just like any other app.

Step 1: Open meinefreikarte.de in the Safari browser.
Step 2: Tap the Share icon (a square with an upward-pointing arrow) in the bottom menu bar.
Step 3: Scroll down the menu and select “Add to Home Screen”.
Step 4: If necessary, edit the app name.
Step 5: Tap “Add” in the top-right corner.

That’s it! The app icon will now appear on your home screen, where you can launch it at any time.

Note: On iOS, PWA installation is done through Safari. Other browsers may also offer this feature, but the menus and steps may differ.

Information about notifications: On iOS, we can only send you notifications once you have enabled them in the web app. You will receive further information when you open the web app.

Step 1: Open meinefreikarte.de in Google Chrome.
Step 2: Tap “Install now” at the top of the page or look for the installation icon on the right-hand side of the address bar. Alternatively, open the Chrome menu using the three-dot icon (⋮).
Step 3: Select “Install app” or “Install”.
Step 4: Confirm the installation in the dialog box that appears.
Step 5: The application will open as a standalone app and will then be available through the Start menu or your Applications folder.

That’s it! You can now launch the application independently of your regular browser window.

Step 1: Open meinefreikarte.de in the Safari browser.
Step 2: Click “File” in the menu bar.
Step 3: Select “Add to Dock”.
Step 4: Check the suggested application name.
Step 5: Confirm by clicking “Add”.

That’s it! The application will now appear in your macOS Dock and can be launched from there like a standalone app.

Step 1: Open our application in the Mozilla Firefox browser.
Step 2: Check whether Firefox offers an installation option in the address bar or browser menu.
Step 3: If no installation option is available, you can save the application as a bookmark instead:

• Windows / Linux: Ctrl + D

• macOS: Cmd + D

Step 4: Save the bookmark and access the application in the future via your bookmarks toolbar.

Important note: Firefox Desktop currently does not support native PWA installation like Chrome or Safari. Saving the application as a bookmark is therefore an alternative for quick access, but it does not create a standalone app.
